Professional Learning Networks

05/08/2020

We are often times required to attend professional developments that we really don't connect to. I have found an innumerable value in personally selected professional learning networks. When you seek out information, you often find topics that resonate with you, have similar visions or inspire you. I have found, in my experience, that being part of PLNs have afforded me networking opportunities and connections that regular professional developments don't offer. I am able to ask questions, give recommendations and participate in webinars that help perfect my craft. Through these experiences, I have learned the importance of growing our tool boxes through connection, discussion and inspiration. I have entered a new role this past year and have tried to gain more knowledge about tech integration so I have consumed more information that contributed, but when I participate in #adminchat #educhats on Twitter, I actively participate and contribute. In the past year or so, I have favored edutech PLNs and conferences, as I've solidified my path in the educational world. Some professional learning networks I've joined are:

Fried Technology- This Website/ Youtube has amazing resources, tips and learning opportunities

TCEA is an organization dedicated to technology integration

TCCA Free Tech Conference - This is a registration link to a free technology conference in Houston that offers a wide range of professional developments and vendors!

Facebook-

Technology Teacher Talk with Brittany Washburn

Teachergram-

Tech Teacher Mama
